UKATA Asbestos Awareness Train Safe Free Course
Since its launch in 2015, UKATA’s annual Train Safe, Work Safe, Keep Safe Campaign has offered more than 15,000 hours of free asbestos awareness training to individuals throughout the UK. Having the relevant asbestos awareness training, could open up career opportunities within the construction industry and also building and facilities management.
Nearly half of all accidents involving abrasive wheels are due to an unsafe system of work or operator error, with the majority of accidents being caused by burst discs. Nearly all abrasive wheel accidents require a visit to A&E. It is a requirement of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations that anyone using an abrasive wheel in the workplace is trained to do so.

We all like to have a certain amount of fun in the workplace, indeed research shows that this is good for productivity. However, there are times when office banter can go too far, when not everybody wants to hear or see particular jokes.
