What you will learn

  • Accurately identify common asbestos products
  • An overview of the legislative measures in place to permit employees to safeguard themselves and others affected by work activities from asbestos
  • Identify where asbestos may be found in buildings or in the work place
  • An understanding of the hazards, health risks and controls associated with the accidental disturbance of asbestos

COURSE DETAIL

Overview

 

This course aims to provide candidates with theoretical training to enable them to demonstrate a good level of asbestos awareness in order to protect themselves and those around them from the effects of exposure to asbestos.

Please note this course does not train you to work with asbestos containing materials.

Duration: Half day (approximately 4 hours)

Assessment: Delegates must complete a multiple-choice test 

Certification: On successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a UKATA certificate valid for one year.

Please note that certificates are valid for one year, in line with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
